Adult Autism and ADHD Evaluation: When Is a Comprehensive Assessment Worth It?

Many adults reach a point where years of masking, overcompensating, burnout, sensory overwhelm, difficulty with organization, or feeling chronically misunderstood lead to a bigger question: could Autism, ADHD, or both be part of the picture?

Why adults seek an evaluation

A comprehensive adult evaluation can help distinguish neurodevelopmental differences from conditions that may look similar, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, sleep problems, and burnout. The purpose is not simply to obtain a screening score. It is to understand patterns across development, daily functioning, relationships, work, sensory experiences, executive functioning, and mental health.

What a comprehensive virtual evaluation can examine

At Virtuous Premiere Psychiatry, the comprehensive adult Autism and ADHD neurodivergent evaluation is offered by secure video appointment. The assessment includes a detailed developmental and psychiatric interview, DSM-5-TR diagnostic assessment, executive-function review, sensory profile, masking and camouflaging assessment, functional-impairment review, differential diagnosis, individualized recommendations, and a written report. An accommodations letter may be provided when clinically appropriate.

Not sure whether you need the full evaluation?

You do not have to begin with the comprehensive evaluation. If you are uncertain about the best next step, Virtuous Premiere Psychiatry offers a $100 Request a Virtual Consultation. This 25-minute private virtual consultation is designed to discuss your concerns and help determine which service may be the most appropriate starting point. Services are private pay and delivered virtually.
